What is mSpy

Part 2: How does mSpy work?

All the information from the target phone is collected by mSpy and transferred to your Control Panel, which you get access to after subscribing to mSpy. You can then remote control the target phone.

To install mSpy you need to first check the compatibility of your phone and target phone. After that you can select the plan which works best for your needs. After processing the payment, you'll receive a login ID and password, which you can use to access your control panel. You'll also receive instructions about how to install the software on the target phone. For this you'll need complete unrestricted access to the target phone, and you'll also have to certify that you're using the app legally. That is, you're using it as a parent of an underage child, or on a consenting adult.

Part 3: Does mSpy have Global reach?

Yes. mSpy works on all carrier networks and irrespective of the location of the target device. All you need is an internet connection to transfer data from the target phone to the control panel.

Part 4: Which devices are compatible with mSpy?

mSpy can work on most mobile devices, such as:

  1. Android 4+
  2. iOS 6 - 8.4 and 9 - 9.1

mSpy can also work on iPhones that aren't jail-broken. This is a better option and is completely non-traceable. However, this leads to restricted features.

Part 5: Is the mSpy logo visible in the target phone?

After installation, mSpy starts working in the background. The logo which comes up on the dashboard can be removed or kept, as per your wish.

Part 6: What are the legal implications of using mSpy?

mSpy is a completely legal software as its primary purpose is to allow parental monitoring, or for employers to use it on company phones. In order to use mSpy legally, you need to meet one of the following criteria:

Part 8: How to install mSpy?

mSpy on Non-Jailbroken iPhone.

Installing mSpy on a non-jailbroken iPhone can only be possible if you have the user's iCloud credentials. If you do you can simply log in to the control panel and follow a few simple steps of installation to be done. However, you have to make sure that both internet and iCloud are enabled in the target phone. The target iPhone would then backup data to iCloud every day, and then you'll be able to retrieve all the information.

If the iCloud isn't enabled yet, you need to gain access to the target phone and enable it. Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Backup, and toggle it On. following that, hit Back Up Now.

mSpy for Jailbroken iPhones.

Some of the newer iOS upgrades don't support jailbreaking. So first you need to make sure whether your iPhone model can support jailbreaking, if it isn't jailbroken already.

After the jailbreak, you can log in to your Control Panel, and select 'iPhone' to continue the installation which should take approximately 30 minutes.

mSpy for Android Phones.

You need to have physical access to the target phone. In the Control Panel choose 'Android' to receive all the instructions of installation. Follow the instructions closely. You can choose to install without rooting, however that would lead to limited functionality. For example, you won't be able to monitor WhatsApp, Snapchat, Facebook, Gmail, etc.

Part 9: How to Uninstall mSpy?

If you no longer want to use mSpy, or if you feel that it might have been illegally installed into your phone, then you can follow these steps to uninstall it.

iOS:

Go to Cydia > Installed > Click on IphoneInternalService > Modify > Remove.

Part 14: How often does the mSpy information get updated?

Non-Jailbroken Phones:

You can expect to receive data within 24 hours because iCloud creates a backup once every day. Also, sometimes the data can be vast in space, so the transfer would also depend on the speed of internet connectivity.

Androids and Jailbroken iPhones:

This depends on the update interval that you have manually set. It can be as low as every 10 minutes, and as much as once every day. However, choosing a low update interval would significantly drain the battery. You should also take into consideration the network strength, which might also facilitate or hamper the transfer of information.

Part 15: Why is internet connection necessary?

The information has to be transferred remotely from the monitored device to your Control Panel. This needs a strong internet connection.

Part 16: Can multiple devices be monitored under one subscription?

No. Under one subscription you can only monitor one device at a time. However, you can change the monitored device as many times as possible. For example, you can monitor Phone A for a few days, then monitor Phone B for a few more days, and so on.

If you want to monitor 2 devices together, then you'll need to get two subscriptions. If you want to monitor more than two devices at a time, you can get the Family Kit Offer.

Part 17: Does Jailbreaking an iPhone void the warranty? And can that be reversed?

Yes, jailbreaking an iPhone voids the warranty. And yes, it can be reversed and you can retrieve the warranty. This can be done by updating the iOS or restoring iPhone to factory settings. However, doing so would cause you to lose the Jailbreak and impact mSpy installation.

Part 18: Does Jailbreaking iPhone adversely impact its performance?

No, Jailbreaking iPhone does not impact the performance of an iPhone in any way. In fact, in some cases it even enhances the battery backup. However, it does have its fair share of pros and cons as well.

Part 19: What is Rooting? Is it necessary to Root the Android Device to install mSpy? Does it void the warranty?

Rooting is a simple process by which users of Android operating system can gain control to the Android subsystem. This is necessary procedure if you want to gain access and control to the non-default apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, etc.

Yes, Rooting does void the warranty, however it is completely reversible, just like Jailbreaking.
