How to Calibrate an iPhone Battery for Better Performance

Calibrating your iPhone battery helps the software accurately report the remaining charge percentage, preventing unexpected shutdowns even when the indicator shows battery life remaining.

Follow this calibration cycle:
  1. Drain Completely: Use your iPhone until it shuts down automatically due to 0% battery.
  2. Wait 3 Hours: Leave it powered off for at least 3 hours to ensure the residual charge is depleted.
  3. Charge to 100%: Plug it in and charge it uninterrupted until it reaches 100%. Keep it plugged in for another 2 hours after reaching full charge.
  4. Restart: Force restart your iPhone (Press Volume Up, Volume Down, hold Side Button).
🤔Note

Calibration fixes software reporting, not physical battery health. If issues continue, check your battery health or use Wondershare Dr.Fone to back up your data before a battery replacement.
