How to Fix iPhone Microphone Not Working
Issues where people can't hear you during calls, or Siri doesn't respond.
Tests & Fixes:
- Test the Mics: Open Voice Memos and record a clip. If it's silent, the primary mic is blocked or broken. Record a video with the front camera to test the receiver mic.
- Clean Microphone Grills: Use a soft brush to clean the grill at the bottom and near the rear camera.
- Remove Case: Ensure your case isn't covering a microphone hole.
🤔 Tip:
If the microphone works in some apps but not others, it's a permission issue (Settings > Privacy > Microphone). If it works nowhere, use Dr.Fone - System Repair (iOS) to fix iOS audio services.
