Samsung Galaxy has built-in tools to identify and block spam and scam calls without needing a third-party app. Here's how to activate them.

Method 1: Enable Caller ID and Spam Protection
  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Tap the 3-dot menu → Settings → Caller ID and Spam Protection.
  3. Toggle on Identify Caller ID and Filter Spam Calls.
  4. Choose action: Silently block or Send to voicemail.
Method 2: Block Specific Numbers
  1. In the Phone app, open Recent Calls.
  2. Tap the number → Block → confirm.
  3. Or: Settings → Block Numbers → Add Number.
Method 3: Block All Unknown Numbers

Go to Phone → Settings → Block Numbers → Block Unknown/Private Numbers — blocks all calls from hidden or unrecognized numbers.

Method 4: Use Google Phone App (Alternative)

The Google Phone app (available on Galaxy) has powerful spam detection powered by Google's call intelligence database.
