How to Check Which Apps Have Access to Your Data on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung One UI makes it easy to see exactly which apps accessed your private data in the last 24 hours — and revoke permissions for anything suspicious.
Use the Privacy Dashboard
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Privacy Dashboard.
- You'll see a timeline of all permission uses: Camera, Microphone, Location, Contacts, Calls, Calendar, Files.
- Tap any permission type to see which apps used it and when.
Review Permissions by Category
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Permission Manager.
- Tap a permission type.
- You'll see apps grouped into: Allowed all the time, Allowed while in use, Ask every time, Not allowed.
Red Flags to Look For
- Apps accessing your microphone with no audio/calling function
- Apps using location when they have no mapping feature
- Games accessing contacts or SMS
- Background apps accessing camera unexpectedly
What to Do If You Find Suspicious Access
- Tap the suspicious app in Permission Manager.
- Change the permission to Don't Allow.
- If the behavior continues, consider uninstalling the app.
Run a Security Scan
Go to Settings → Battery and Device Care → Device Protection → Scan Phone to check all installed apps for malware.
