How to Set Up Samsung Find My Mobile to Locate Your Lost Galaxy
Samsung Find My Mobile lets you locate, lock, ring, and remotely wipe your Galaxy if it's lost or stolen. Set it up now — before you need it.
How to Enable Find My Mobile
- Go to Settings → Security and Privacy → Lost Device Protection.
- Tap Find My Mobile — sign in with your Samsung account.
- Toggle on Remote Unlock and Offline Finding for maximum capability.
What You Can Do Remotely
Once enabled, visit findmymobile.samsung.com from any browser to:
- See your phone's location on a map
- Make the phone ring loudly (even on silent)
- Lock the phone with a custom message (e.g., "Lost phone, call [your number]")
- Remotely erase all data
- Track movement history
Enable Offline Locating
Toggle on Find My Mobile → Offline Locating — lets your Galaxy transmit its location via nearby Samsung devices even when no Wi-Fi or data is available. (Uses Samsung's SmartThings Find network, similar to Apple AirTags.)
What's Required
- Samsung account signed in
- Internet connection (at least enabled on phone)
- Location Services on
If Your Phone Is Stolen
- File a police report.
- Log into findmymobile.samsung.com immediately.
- Lock and trace — don't try to recover the phone yourself; share location with police.
- Remote wipe your data as a last resort if you believe you won't recover the phone.
Dr.Fone Tip: If you need to recover data from a lost phone after factory wiping, Dr.Fone – Data Recovery may help restore data from your Samsung Cloud backup.
