How to Customize the Control Center on Xiaomi HyperOS
The Control Center (quick settings panel) on Xiaomi HyperOS is one of its most useful features — and it's fully customizable. Here's how to tailor it to your needs.
Two Control Center Styles in HyperOS
HyperOS offers two layouts:
- iOS-style (default on HyperOS 1/2): swipe from the top-right corner to open a separate Control Center
- Traditional Android style: swipe from the top-left for notifications, top-right for quick toggles
To switch: go to Settings > Notifications & Control Center > Control Center Style.
How to Edit Quick Toggles
- Open the Control Center (swipe from top-right)
- Tap the pencil / edit icon (✏️) in the bottom corner
- You'll see two sections: Active toggles (shown) and Available toggles (hidden)
- Drag and drop tiles between sections to add or remove them
- Long-press and drag to reorder
- Tap Done (✓) when finished
Recommended Toggles to Add
| Toggle | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|
| Screen Record | Quick access without hunting in apps |
| One-Handed Mode | Great for large-screen Xiaomi phones |
| Data Saver | Instantly cut background data |
| Reverse Wireless Charging | Share power with earbuds |
| Reading Mode | Eye protection in one tap |
| Quick Screenshot | Alternative to button combo |
Adjust Brightness and Volume Sliders
In edit mode, you can also toggle whether brightness and volume sliders appear in the Control Center. Most users prefer both visible for quick adjustment.
HyperOS 2 Enhancement
HyperOS 2 (available on Xiaomi 14T, 15, Redmi Note 14 Pro series) adds animated toggle icons and a redesigned grid layout with larger tiles. The customization process remains identical.
