How to Fix Xiaomi Phone Connected to Wi-Fi but No Internet

Fix xiaomi wifi connected no internet and redmi wifi not working. Solve poco wifi issue fix with miui network fix and hyperos wifi problem.

The "Connected, No Internet" Wi-Fi problem on Xiaomi phones is surprisingly common. Here's a systematic fix approach.

Step 1: Restart Router and Phone

The classic fix: restart your Wi-Fi router (unplug for 30 seconds), then restart the Xiaomi phone. This resolves the issue in ~40 % of cases.

Step 2: Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi → long-press your network → Forget Network → reconnect and re-enter the password.

Step 3: Change DNS to Google or Cloudflare

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi → tap your connected network → Manage Network Settings → change IP Settings to Static → scroll down and set:

  • DNS 1: 8.8.8.8 (Google) or 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)
  • DNS 2: 8.8.4.4 or 1.0.0.1
Step 4: Disable Private DNS (if set)

Go to Settings > Additional Settings > PrivacyPrivate DNS → set to Automatic (not a custom server).

Step 5: Disable WLAN+ (Auto Network Switch)

Xiaomi's WLAN+ feature automatically switches between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If the router has internet but WLAN+ judges it as "poor", it may prevent traffic. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > WLAN+ and disable it.

Step 6: Reset Network Settings

Settings → Additional Settings → Backup & Reset → Reset Network Settings. This clears all saved Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data configurations. You'll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi networks.

Step 7: Check Router Settings
  • Ensure the router's DHCP is enabled
  • Check if MAC address filtering is blocking your phone (add your phone's MAC address to the allowlist)
  • Try a different Wi-Fi band (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz)
