How to Use Xiaomi AI Features: Circle to Search, AI Writing, AI Photo Edit
HyperOS 2 (launched late 2024) brought significant AI features to Xiaomi phones. Here's what's available and how to use each one.
Feature 1 – Circle to Search
Powered by Google's Circle to Search, available on Xiaomi 14/15 series with HyperOS 2:
How to use:
1. Hold the Home button (or Navigation bar) for 1–2 seconds while viewing any screen.
2. The screen dims and a cursor appears.
3. Circle, highlight, or tap any object, text, or image on screen.
4. Google Search results appear for what you circled — shop for items, translate text, identify objects, get information.
Works on photos in Gallery, web pages, social media, video frames — any visible content.
Feature 2 – AI Photo Edit (HyperOS 2 Gallery)
- Open Gallery → select a photo → Edit → AI.
- Available AI tools:

- Fix grammar — correct writing errors.

Feature 4 – AI Live Translate (Real-Time)
On Xiaomi 15 series (HyperOS 2.1+):
1. During a call, tap Live Translate in the call screen.
2. AI transcribes and translates the conversation in real time.
3. Speaker's words appear as translated text on your screen.
