How to Take a Long Scrolling Screenshot on Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO
A scrolling screenshot (also called a long screenshot) captures an entire page — not just what's visible on screen. Xiaomi HyperOS makes this easy.
Method 1: Button Combo + Scroll Option (Universal)
- Press Volume Down + Power simultaneously to take a regular screenshot
- A screenshot preview appears at the bottom of the screen
- Tap "Scroll" (or the expand arrows icon) in the preview toolbar
- The screen automatically scrolls and captures the full page
- Tap Stop when you've captured enough
Method 2: Three-Finger Swipe (Easiest)
Enable it first: Settings > Additional Settings > Screenshot > Three-finger screenshot → ON
Then: swipe down with three fingers anywhere on screen. A screenshot preview appears with the "Scroll" option — tap it for a scrolling screenshot.
Method 3: Quick Ball Shortcut
Add "Scrolling Screenshot" directly to Quick Ball (Settings → Additional Settings → Quick Ball → configure shortcuts). One tap = instant scrolling capture.
Editing the Scrolling Screenshot
After capture, tap the preview to open the editor:
- Crop the top and bottom to include only what you need
- Annotate with text, arrows, highlights
- Share directly to any app
Supported Apps
Scrolling screenshots work in most apps: Chrome, WhatsApp, email, social media. Some apps with anti-screenshot settings (banking apps, Netflix) will block screenshot capture entirely.
Where Are Screenshots Saved?
Screenshots are saved to Gallery → Screenshots folder, and also accessible in the Files app under Pictures/Screenshots.
