How to Use Dual Apps (App Clone) for Two Accounts on Xiaomi
Want to use two WhatsApp accounts or two Instagram profiles on one Xiaomi phone? HyperOS's Dual Apps feature creates an independent clone of any supported app.
How to Enable Dual Apps
- Go to Settings
- Tap Apps → Dual Apps
- You'll see a list of apps that support cloning
- Toggle ON the apps you want to clone (e.g., WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram)
- The cloned app appears on your home screen with a small dual-icon badge
Supported Apps
HyperOS supports Dual Apps for most social media and messaging apps. Common supported apps include:
- WhatsApp / WhatsApp Business
- Telegram
- Snapchat
- Twitter / X
- LINE
How to Identify the Clone
The cloned app icon shows a small "2" badge or a different color dot. In the app drawer, both the original and clone appear.
Switching Between Accounts
Simply tap the original app icon for Account 1, and the cloned icon for Account 2. Both run independently with separate data, notifications, and logins.

For stronger separation and privacy, use Second Space instead (see Article 34).
Deleting a Dual App Clone
Go to Settings > Apps > Dual Apps and toggle the app OFF. The clone and all its data are deleted. The original app is unaffected.
