How to Activate an iPhone with a Carrier?

Steps / Best Methods

During setup, when prompted to set up cellular, follow on-screen steps to transfer your number (physical SIM or eSIM).
For eSIM Quick Transfer: sign in to both iPhones with the same Apple Account, keep Bluetooth on, and follow prompts to transfer.
For QR code activation: choose Use QR code during setup (or scan the QR code later in Camera and add the plan).
If you see a banner to finish carrier setup, tap it to complete activation on your carrier’s webpage.
