How to Set Up iPhone Notifications?

Setting up notifications on your iPhone lets you control which apps alert you and how. Here's how to manage them:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap Notifications.
Under Notification Style, tap the app you want to configure.
Toggle Allow Notifications on.
Under Alerts, choose how notifications appear: Lock Screen, Notification Center, and/or Banners.
Enable Sounds to receive audio alerts, and toggle Badges to show app icon counters.

To change display style: Settings > Notifications > Display As → choose Count, Stack, or List.
To enable Critical Alerts (even when muted): turn on Critical Alerts for supported apps.
To summarize notifications (iOS 18.1+, iPhone 15 Pro/16 models): Settings > Notifications > Summarize Notifications.

✔ You can swipe left on a Lock Screen notification and tap Options to quickly adjust settings for that app.

✔ Use Focus modes (Settings > Focus) to filter notifications by context.

If you're not receiving notifications, check if a Focus mode is active or the app's notification settings have been reset.
