How to Switch iPhone Network Operators?
Switching network operators on an iPhone is mainly for travelers and users with multiple carriers (physical SIM + eSIM). If your carrier allows manual selection, you can pick another partner network.
Manually Select a Network Operator
- Go to Settings > Cellular.
- Tap your line (if you have multiple lines).
- Tap Network Selection.
- Turn off Automatic.
- Wait for the list to load, then select a network.
- If service fails, re-enable Automatic.
👍Pros
- Can improve service when your default roaming partner is weak.
👎Cons
- Some networks may not allow registration; you may lose LTE/5G features.
- Manual selection can drain the battery if the phone constantly searches for a signal.
