How to Take Screenshots on iPhone?

Taking a screenshot on an iPhone varies slightly depending on whether your device uses Face ID or Touch ID. Here is a quick guide to capturing your screen on any model.

Method 1: iPhone with Face ID (iPhone X and later)
  1. Press the Side button (right side) and the Volume Up button (left side) at the same time.
  2. Quickly release both buttons.
  3. A thumbnail will appear in the lower-left corner. Tap it to edit or swipe left to dismiss it.
Method 2: iPhone with Touch ID (iPhone 8, SE, and earlier)
  1. Press the Side button (or Top button) and the Home button at the same time.
  2. Quickly release both buttons.
Method 3: Using AssistiveTouch (One-Handed)

If your buttons are not working, you can use software:

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and turn it on.
  2. Tap the white floating circle.
  3. Select Device > More > Screenshot.
🤔 Protip:

If your buttons are unresponsive due to a system glitch, Dr.Fone - System Repair (iOS) can help fix standard iOS issues without data loss.
