Method 1: Create During Phone Setup
When setting up a new Galaxy for the first time, Samsung prompts you to sign in or create an account. Tap Create account and follow the steps below.
Method 2: Create from Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap your profile icon at the top (or scroll to "Samsung Account" / "Accounts and backup").
- Tap Create account.
- Enter your email address (any email works — Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Set a strong password (8+ characters, mix of letters, numbers, symbols).
- Enter your date of birth and name.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions (required) and Privacy Policy.
- Tap Next — Samsung sends a verification email.
- Open the email and click the verification link.
- Return to your phone — your Samsung Account is now active.
Method 3: Create via Browser
- Visit account.samsung.com on any browser.
- Tap Create account.
- Follow the same steps as above.
- After verification, sign in on your Galaxy phone via Settings > Samsung Account.
Security Recommendations
- Enable two-step verification: Samsung Account settings > Security > Two-step verification > enable. Adds SMS or authenticator app verification for logins.
- Use a unique password not shared with other services.
- Save your credentials securely — losing Samsung Account access can lock you out of Find My Mobile and cloud backup.
Signing Into Your Samsung Account on Galaxy
- Settings > tap profile icon at top.
- Select Samsung Account > Sign in.
- Enter email and password.
- Verify via SMS or email if two-step verification is enabled.
