How to Use Split Screen and Multi-Window on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung Galaxy's Multi-Window feature lets you run two apps simultaneously on a split screen. Here's how to activate and use it.
Method 1: From Recent Apps
- Tap the Recents button (the square icon in the navigation bar).
- Tap the app icon at the top of an app card.
- Select Open in Split Screen View.
- Choose the second app from the Recents list or home screen.
Method 2: From the Edge Panel
- Swipe out the Edge Panel from the side of your screen.
- Long-press an app and drag it to the top or bottom half of the screen.
Method 3: Keyboard Shortcut (Samsung DeX / physical keyboard)
Press Windows key + Up/Down arrow to snap apps into split view.
Adjusting the Split
Drag the divider bar (the line between the two apps) to resize the panels.
Pop-Up View
