  6. Enter a new strong password and confirm.
  7. Return to your Galaxy and sign in with the new password.
Method 2: Reset via Phone Number (SMS Verification)

What If You No Longer Have Access to the Recovery Email/Phone?

This is the most difficult situation. Options:

  • Contact Samsung Support: Visit samsung.com/support or call Samsung directly. Provide proof of purchase (receipt with IMEI) to request account recovery.
  • In-person Samsung Service Center: Bring your phone and proof of purchase — Samsung technicians can verify identity in person.
  • Note: Samsung takes account security seriously; recovery without access to the original email/phone may require significant verification.
Prevent Future Lockouts
  • Enable two-step verification AND save backup codes during setup.
  • Use a password manager (Samsung Pass, Google Password Manager, or 1Password) to store your Samsung Account credentials securely.
  • Keep your recovery email and phone number updated: account.samsung.com > Profile > Security info.
