Use Samsung Galaxy Smart View screen mirror to cast Samsung to TV. Master Samsung Galaxy screen mirroring, wireless screen share Galaxy TV, and mirror Galaxy to Samsung TV.
Samsung Smart View lets you wirelessly cast or mirror your Galaxy's screen to a smart TV — perfect for sharing photos, streaming video, or presenting slideshows on the big screen.
Requirements
- Samsung Galaxy phone with Smart View support (most Galaxy S, A, and Z series)
- Compatible display: Samsung Smart TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Android TV, or any Miracast-compatible display
- Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network (for most methods)
Method 1: Smart View (Wireless Screen Mirror)
Step-by-Step
- On your Samsung Galaxy, swipe down from the top to open the Quick Panel.
- Swipe down again for the full Quick Panel.
- Tap Smart View (the screen-with-arrow icon). If not visible, tap the + to add it.
- Smart View scans for nearby compatible displays.
- Tap your TV's name from the list.
- Accept any permissions on the TV screen if prompted.
- Your Galaxy's display now mirrors to the TV.
For Samsung Smart TVs: the connection is typically instant. For other devices, Smart View appears in the notification bar once connected.
To Stop Mirroring
Tap the Smart View notification in the status bar > Disconnect.
Method 2: Google Cast (Chromecast / Android TV)
If your TV has a Chromecast or built-in Google TV:
- Open the app you want to cast (YouTube, Netflix, Chrome).
- Tap the Cast icon within the app.
- Select your TV from the list.
- The app streams directly to the TV (not full screen mirror — just that app).
Method 3: HDMI Cable (Wired)
For reliable, lag-free mirroring:
- Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter (Samsung DeX dock or generic adapter).
- Connect the HDMI cable to your TV.
- On Galaxy: Select Screen Mirror or Samsung DeX when the cable is connected.
- In DeX mode, your Galaxy acts like a desktop computer on the TV.
Smart View Tips
- Reduce lag: Ensure both devices are close to the Wi-Fi router.
- Adjust resolution: Smart View may auto-adjust — for best quality, use your Samsung TV.
- DRM content: Netflix/Disney+ may block screen mirroring (DRM protection). Use the TV's native app instead.
- Sound routing: By default, audio plays from the TV. Change this in the Smart View connection options.
