How to Use Samsung Multi Control to Share One Keyboard Across Galaxy Devices
Set up Samsung Multi Control keyboard to share keyboard between Samsung devices and Galaxy keyboard mouse share. Complete Samsung Multi Control setup for One UI Multi Control feature.
Samsung Multi Control (previously called "Samsung Flow" for some features) allows you to use one keyboard and mouse to control multiple Samsung Galaxy devices simultaneously — perfect for Galaxy phone + Galaxy Tab setups.
What Is Samsung Multi Control?
Multi Control is a feature in One UI that creates a seamless multi-device workspace:
- Use your Galaxy phone's keyboard to type on a Galaxy Tab (or vice versa)
- Share one Bluetooth mouse between devices
- Drag and drop files between phone and tablet screens
- Use your Galaxy Tab as an extended display for your phone
Requirements
- Two or more Samsung Galaxy devices (phone + tablet, or two tablets)
- Both devices signed into the same Samsung Account
- Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network or connected via Bluetooth
- One UI 5.0 or newer on both devices
Setting Up Multi Control
On the Device with the Keyboard/Mouse (Primary):
- Go to Settings > Connected devices > Multi Control (or search "Multi Control").
- Toggle Multi Control ON.
- The device scans for compatible nearby Samsung devices.
On the Secondary Device:
- Similarly enable Multi Control in Settings > Connected devices.
- Accept the connection request from the primary device.
Connecting a Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse
- Pair your Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the primary Galaxy device as normal.
- Once Multi Control is active, the input automatically works on both devices.
Using Multi Control Day-to-Day
- Switch control: Move your mouse cursor to the edge of one device's screen — it seamlessly moves to the other device's screen.
- Drag and drop files: Drag a photo or document from your phone and drop it onto the tablet — it transfers instantly.
- Type across devices: Use the keyboard to type in apps on either device without switching Bluetooth connections.
Multi Control in Samsung DeX
If you're using Samsung DeX on a monitor with your Galaxy phone, Multi Control extends this to also include your Galaxy Tab — creating a three-screen workspace.
Troubleshooting Multi Control
- Not showing other devices: Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network and logged into the same Samsung Account.
- Laggy cursor: Ensure both devices are running One UI 5.0+; update if needed.
- File transfer not working: Check that file sharing permissions are granted on both devices.
