How to Take a Long Scroll Screenshot on Samsung Galaxy

Capture scroll screenshot Samsung Galaxy or long screenshot Galaxy. Use Samsung Galaxy scrolling capture to capture full page Samsung with extended screenshot Galaxy.

A scroll (or long) screenshot on Samsung Galaxy captures content that extends beyond a single screen — perfect for saving long web pages, chat conversations, or documents in one image.

Method 1: Scroll Capture (One UI Built-In)

This is the easiest and most reliable method:

  1. Take a regular screenshot first:
    • Press Volume Down + Power button simultaneously, OR
    • Swipe your palm across the screen (if palm swipe is enabled).
  2. The Smart Capture toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the Scroll capture icon (a downward arrow inside a box — looks like stacked pages).
  4. The screen automatically scrolls down and captures additional content. Tap the icon multiple times to capture more content until you've captured everything you need.
  5. Tap anywhere outside the toolbar (or wait) to save the full-length screenshot.
Enable Palm Swipe Screenshot (If Not Working)

Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Palm swipe to capture > toggle ON.

Method 2: Smart Select > Scroll Capture

For more control over the capture area:

  1. Open the Edge Panel (swipe from the right edge of the screen).
  2. Navigate to Smart Select.
  3. Draw a rectangle around the area you want to capture.
  4. Tap Scroll capture to extend the capture downward.
Method 3: Screenshots from the Quick Panel

Some One UI versions have a screenshot tile:

  1. Swipe down twice for full Quick Panel.
  2. Tap the Screenshot tile.
  3. Scroll capture toolbar appears — same as Method 1.
Where Are Scroll Screenshots Saved?

Scroll screenshots save to the Gallery app > Albums > Screenshots. File format is typically JPEG or PNG.

Tips
  • Some apps (banking, streaming, secure content) block screenshots — you'll see a black image or error message.
  • Scroll screenshots work best on web browsers, messaging apps, and document apps.
  • Very long scroll screenshots (50+ screens) can create extremely large files — trim them in Gallery if needed.
  • For capturing webpages specifically, Chrome on Android has a built-in "Share > Long screenshot" feature.
