How to Change iPhone Language Settings?

If you've set the wrong language or want to switch to another, here's how to change it on your iPhone:

Steps to Change the iPhone System Language:
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Language & Region.
  4. Tap Add Language (or tap iPhone Language to change the primary language directly).
  5. Select your desired language from the list.
  6. When prompted, choose to use it as the Primary Language.
  7. Your iPhone will restart and apply the new language.
Change Language for a Specific App:

Some apps support per-app language settings. Go to Settings > General > Language & Region, scroll to the app list, and select your preferred language for that app.

Change Keyboard Language:
  • Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard to add a language keyboard.
🤔 Note:

If you accidentally changed the iPhone to an unknown language, navigate through the menus by following the icon positions: Settings (gear icon) → the 3rd item in the list (General) → the item near the bottom before the last section (Language & Region).
