How to Use Lightning Headphones with an iPhone?
Since the removal of the 3.5mm jack, wired audio on iPhone relies on the Lightning port (or USB-C on iPhone 15+).
Basic Usage
Simply plug the Lightning connector into the charging port of your iPhone. The audio should automatically switch to the headphones.
Troubleshooting: "Accessory Not Supported"
If you see this error:
- Clean the Port: Use a toothpick to gently remove lint from the iPhone charging port. Compacted lint prevents a solid connection.
- Check for Damage: Inspect the cable for fraying near the connector.
Using Old 3.5mm Headphones
If you have standard headphones, you need a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. Plug the headphones into the adapter, then the adapter into the iPhone.
