How to Fix the WhatsApp Option Missing in Move to iOS

If WhatsApp does not appear at all on the Move to iOS Transfer Data screen, first confirm that you are in the supported Android-to-iPhone chat-migration flow. This is different from a greyed-out WhatsApp entry: here the option is absent, not merely unavailable to select.

Confirm the flow where WhatsApp should appear

Start with a new or factory-reset iPhone and choose From Android during iPhone setup.
Install Move to iOS on the Android phone and make sure WhatsApp on Android is current.
Use the same phone number you plan to use on the new iPhone.
Confirm Android 5 or later and iOS 15.5 or later, and keep both phones connected to power and the same Wi-Fi network or Android connected to the iPhone hotspot.
Enter the code shown on the iPhone and continue in Move to iOS until the Transfer Data screen appears. Check whether WhatsApp is listed there before finishing setup.

If WhatsApp is still missing

Restart both phones and repeat the setup flow once after the requirements above are satisfied. Do not activate WhatsApp on the iPhone first: the Android-to-iPhone chat migration must happen before WhatsApp is activated on the new device. After WhatsApp appears

Select WhatsApp on the Transfer Data screen, tap Start on Android, wait for WhatsApp to prepare the export, then return to Move to iOS and let the iPhone loading bar finish. Complete iPhone setup before installing the latest WhatsApp from the App Store and importing the chats. If the option appears but is disabled, use the greyed-out eligibility checks rather than the missing-option path.
