How to Fix WhatsApp Transfer Failed from Android to iPhone 18
When WhatsApp transfer fails from Android to iPhone, restart both devices and retry the official Move to iOS process before changing more settings. Keep the phones plugged in, connected to the same Wi-Fi network or the iPhone hotspot, and leave Move to iOS onscreen on Android until the iPhone loading bar finishes.
Verify the requirements before retrying
- Confirm the iPhone is factory new or has been reset and is still in setup.
- Before starting the transfer, update WhatsApp on the Android phone and keep the same phone number for the migration.
- Turn off Android cellular data and any app or setting that can interfere with Wi-Fi.
- Check that the Android content fits in the available iPhone storage.
- Select WhatsApp on the Move to iOS Transfer Data screen, then tap Start on Android.
After Move to iOS completes, install WhatsApp from the App Store, sign in with the same number, and choose Start when prompted. If importing stops before completion, WhatsApp identifies a connection error as a likely issue. If Move to iOS quits, fails, or is cancelled, Apple Support is the appropriate escalation path for the Move to iOS app.
Do not substitute a file copy or another transfer app for this official migration. WhatsApp says other apps are unsupported and may cause chat loss.
For a separate computer-based WhatsApp workflow, Dr.Fone - WhatsApp Transfer provides a dedicated WhatsApp transfer workflow.
