How to Block Apps and Websites for Kids on Samsung Galaxy Using Family Link

Setting Up Family Link
Step 1: On Parent's Phone
  1. Download Google Family Link from Play Store (or App Store for iPhone parents).
  2. Open app > Get started > I'm a parent.
  3. Sign in with your personal Google Account.
  4. Tap Add child.
Step 2: On Child's Samsung Galaxy
  1. Ensure the child is signed into their Google Account on the Galaxy.
  2. In Family Link on parent's phone: tap Link device — enter your child's Google account email.
  3. A confirmation request appears on the child's Galaxy — tap Allow.
  4. The devices are now linked.
Key Family Link Controls
Block/Approve Apps
  1. Family Link > select child > App controls > All apps.

Block Websites in Chrome
  1. Family Link > child profile > Settings > Manage settings > Google Chrome > Filters.
  2. Select:

  3. Add specific blocked sites manually.
Set Screen Time Limits
  1. Family Link > child > Screen time > Set limit.
