How to Enable Power Saving Mode on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung Galaxy has two levels of Power Saving Mode for different situations. Here's how to enable them and what each mode does.
How to Enable Power Saving Mode
- Go to Settings → Battery and Device Care → Battery.
- Tap Power Saving and toggle it on.
Or: Pull down Quick Settings → tap the Power Saving tile.
What Power Saving Mode Does
- Limits maximum CPU speed to ~70%
- Reduces screen brightness by 10%
- Turns off 5G (falls back to LTE)
- Limits background app refresh
- Reduces network speed
- Turns off some visual effects
Extreme Power Saving Mode
For emergency situations when you need the phone to last as long as possible.
- Go to Settings → Battery and Device Care → Battery.
- Scroll to Extreme Power Saving and enable it.
What Extreme Mode Does
- Reduces to only essential apps (calls, messages, alarm, calculator)
- Screen goes gray/dark
- All background tasks suspended
- Can extend a 5% battery to 24+ hours on standby
When to Use Each Mode
