How to Manage App Permissions on Samsung Galaxy (Location, Camera, Mic)

Managing app permissions on your Samsung Galaxy ensures apps only access what they truly need — protecting your privacy and improving security.

View All App Permissions
  1. Go to Settings → Privacy → Permission Manager.
  2. Tap a permission type (Location, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, etc.).
  3. See which apps have access and at what level.
Permission Levels for Location
  • Allow all the time — app tracks location in background (GPS)
  • Allow only while using app — location only during active use
  • Ask every time — prompted each time
  • Don't allow — no location access
How to Change an App's Permission
  1. Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Permissions.
  2. Tap the permission you want to change.
  3. Select the appropriate access level.
