How to Run Dual Apps (Clone Apps) on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung Galaxy's Dual Messenger feature lets you run two instances of select apps simultaneously — perfect for using two WhatsApp accounts, two Facebook accounts, or two Telegram accounts on one phone.
How to Enable Dual Apps
- Go to Settings → Advanced Features → Dual Messenger.
- You'll see a list of supported apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Toggle on any app to create a second instance.
- A second copy of the app will appear in your app drawer with a small icon badge.
Managing Two Accounts
- Each instance is completely independent — separate contacts, chats, and notifications.
- You can log into different accounts on each instance.
- Uninstalling the original app will ask if you want to remove both.
Supported Apps
Samsung supports Dual Messenger for most social and messaging apps. If an app isn't listed, it doesn't support cloning.
Use Cases
| Use Case | Example |
|---|---|
| Personal + Work WhatsApp | Two separate WhatsApp accounts |
| Two Google/Gmai accounts | Two Gmail instances |
| Gaming (two accounts) | Two instances of a game account |
Note: Dual Messenger uses additional RAM and storage. For very low-memory devices, running dual apps may slightly impact performance.
