Samsung Galaxy has a built-in screen recorder that can capture video and audio without any third-party app. Here's how to use it.
How to Start a Samsung Screen Recording
- Swipe down from the top-right corner to open the Quick Settings panel.
- Tap the Screen Recorder tile. (If it's not visible, edit the panel and add it.)
- Choose your audio source:
- No sound — silent recording
- Media sounds — captures internal app audio
- Mic — records your voice
- Mic and media sounds — captures both - Tap Start Recording — a 3-second countdown begins, then recording starts.
- A recording indicator appears in the status bar. Tap Stop when done.
Recording is Saved To:
Gallery → Albums → Screen Recordings
How to Change Video Quality
Before starting: Tap the Settings icon in Screen Recorder preview → change resolution (720p, 1080p, etc.) and bit rate.
Add Your Face Cam
In the Screen Recorder settings, enable Show your face on the screen to overlay your front camera.
Draw on Screen While Recording
Enable the pencil icon in the recording toolbar to annotate while recording — great for tutorials.
