How to Set Up and Use Samsung Pay (Samsung Wallet) on Galaxy
Samsung Pay (now Samsung Wallet) allows you to make contactless payments using your Galaxy phone at any NFC-enabled payment terminal. Here's how to set it up.
Step 1: Open Samsung Wallet
Find the Samsung Wallet app in your app drawer (pre-installed on all Galaxy phones). Or search for it in the Galaxy Store.
Step 2: Add a Payment Card
- In Samsung Wallet, tap the + button.
- Select Payment Card.
- Scan your card with the camera or enter details manually.
- Your bank will verify the card via SMS or bank app authentication.
Step 3: Set a Default Payment Method
Tap and hold a card to set it as your default. This card is used for payments unless you choose another.
Step 4: Make a Payment
- At a checkout terminal, double-press the Side button to open Samsung Wallet.
- Authenticate with fingerprint or face recognition.
- Hold the back of your phone near the payment terminal.
- Done — you'll see a ✓ confirmation on screen.
What Else Can Samsung Wallet Store?
- Loyalty cards (Starbucks, airlines)
- Transit cards (in supported cities)
- Digital ID (in supported regions)
- Boarding passes
- NFC access cards (hotel keys, office badges)
Requirements: NFC-enabled Galaxy phone, compatible bank, Samsung account.
