Before deleting photos, check exactly what is consuming your storage space.
Steps to View Storage Breakdown
- Go to Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage.
Wait a moment for the graph to calculate. You will see a color-coded bar showing usage for:
- Apps: Installed applications.
- Photos: Pictures and videos.
- System Data: Caches, logs, and other resources.
- Media: Music and podcasts.
Below the graph, you will see a list of apps sorted by size. Tap any app to see options to Offload App (keeps data, deletes app) or Delete App (removes everything).
