Text Replacement expands short codes into full phrases instantly. For example, typing “omw” can automatically expand to “On my way!”
Steps to Create a Shortcut
- Go to Settings > General > Keyboard.
- Tap Text Replacement.
- Tap the + sign in the top right.
- Phrase: Type the full text (e.g., an email address).
- Shortcut: Type the short code (e.g., “@@”).
- Tap Save.
Now, whenever you type your shortcut, the expanded phrase will appear in the predictive text bar.
