How to Delete iPhone System Data?

“System Data” includes logs, caches, and Siri voices. If it grows abnormally large (over 10GB), use these tricks to clear it.

Method 1: The Restart Trick

Often, a simple restart forces iOS to recalculate and clear temporary logs. Press Volume Up, Volume Down, then hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears.

Method 2: Change Message History
  1. Go to Settings > Messages.
  2. Tap Keep Messages.
  3. Change “Forever” to 1 Year or 30 Days. This deletes old attachments cached in System Data.
Method 3: Sync with iTunes/Finder

Connecting your iPhone to a computer and syncing via iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac) often recalculates the database and reduces System Data significantly.

🤔 Protip:

Dr.Fone Tool: If System Data remains stubborn, it may be a file system error. Dr.Fone - System Repair (iOS) can rebuild the OS structure without deleting your personal data.
