How to Fix iPhone Screen Protector Bubbles?
Bubbles usually happen for two reasons: trapped air or trapped dust. The fix depends on the cause.
Type 1: Air Bubbles (Near the Edge)
These are easy to fix.
- Use a credit card or the squeegee card provided with the kit.
- Start from the center of the bubble and push firmly toward the nearest edge of the screen.
- You may need to lift the edge slightly with your fingernail to let the air escape, then press it back down.
Type 2: Dust Bubbles (In the Middle)
These have a tiny speck in the center and won't go away with pushing.
- Gently lift the screen protector from the nearest corner until you reach the bubble.
- Use a piece of scotch tape or the "dust removal sticker" from your kit.
- Slide the tape sticky side up under the glass to grab the dust speck off the adhesive side of the protector.
- Alternatively, dab the phone screen if the dust is on the phone.
- Let the protector fall back into place.
