How to Fix iPhone Screen Protector Bubbles?

Bubbles usually happen for two reasons: trapped air or trapped dust. The fix depends on the cause.

Type 1: Air Bubbles (Near the Edge)

These are easy to fix.

  1. Use a credit card or the squeegee card provided with the kit.
  2. Start from the center of the bubble and push firmly toward the nearest edge of the screen.
  3. You may need to lift the edge slightly with your fingernail to let the air escape, then press it back down.
Type 2: Dust Bubbles (In the Middle)

These have a tiny speck in the center and won't go away with pushing.

  1. Gently lift the screen protector from the nearest corner until you reach the bubble.
  2. Use a piece of scotch tape or the "dust removal sticker" from your kit.
  3. Slide the tape sticky side up under the glass to grab the dust speck off the adhesive side of the protector.
  4. Alternatively, dab the phone screen if the dust is on the phone.
  5. Let the protector fall back into place.
