How to Use iPhone Screen Time Passcode?

What Screen Time Passcode Protects

A Screen Time passcode prevents changes to Screen Time limits, content restrictions, and app allowances.

It’s separate from your iPhone unlock passcode.

Set Up Screen Time Passcode

1. Settings > Screen Time.
2. Tap Use Screen Time Passcode.
3. Create a 4-digit code (don’t reuse your device passcode).
4. (If prompted) add Apple Account recovery details to reset it later.

Best Practices

• Use a passcode only the parent/owner knows.
• Turn on Content & Privacy Restrictions if needed.
• Review Screen Time weekly to adjust limits.

If You Forgot the Screen Time Passcode

If your iPhone is linked to an Apple Account for Screen Time recovery, you can reset it in Settings > Screen Time > Change Screen Time Passcode > Forgot Passcode.

If recovery isn’t available, you may need advanced repair/restore options.
