How to Duplicate Apps on Samsung Phone
If you want two copies of the same app on a Samsung phone, the easiest options are Secure Folder and Dual Messenger. Secure Folder works well when you want a separate, private app space, while Dual Messenger is faster for supported social and messaging apps.
Try this:
- Step 1. Open Settings > Security and privacy > Secure Folder, then sign in and set it up.
- Step 2. Open Secure Folder and install the app again from Galaxy Store or Play Store.
- Step 3. For supported chat apps, go to Settings > Advanced features > Dual Messenger and turn on the second app copy.
Which option is better?
- Secure Folder: more privacy, broader use cases, separate files and logins.
- Dual Messenger: faster to set up, but only for supported apps.
If duplication fails, update One UI, check app support, and make sure work profile or parental controls are not blocking the feature.
🤔Note:
If you are moving chats, photos, or app data to a new Samsung phone, Dr.Fone can also help you back up and transfer important content before you make changes to app setups.
