How to Take a Long Screenshot (Scroll Capture) on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung Galaxy's Scroll Capture feature lets you stitch together multiple screenshots into one long image — perfect for capturing an entire conversation, webpage, or article.
How to Take a Long Screenshot
- Take a regular screenshot (press Volume Down + Side button simultaneously).
- A preview toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the Scroll Capture icon (two overlapping arrows/rectangles).
- The screen will automatically scroll down and capture more.
- Tap Scroll Capture again to continue capturing further down.
- Tap anywhere else or wait for it to stop — the combined image is saved.
Notes on Scroll Capture
- Works in most apps including Chrome, Samsung Internet, and messaging apps.
- Does not work in all apps (some block it for security, like banking apps).
- The resulting image can be very large in file size at high zoom levels.
Alternative: Smart Select
If Scroll Capture isn't available, use the Edge Panel's Smart Select → Scroll Capture for more control.
Editing After Capture
After saving, open the screenshot in Gallery and use the built-in crop tool to remove headers/footers you don't need.
