How to Add and Customise KWGT Widgets on Xiaomi HyperOS Home Screen

KWGT (Kustom Widget Maker) is the most popular way to build stunning custom widgets on any Android phone. Xiaomi's HyperOS supports KWGT fully, letting you personalise your home screen far beyond the default options.

What You Can Build with KWGT
  • Custom analogue/digital clocks with any font
  • Battery level arc widgets with colour coding
  • Live weather widgets with animated icons
  • Spotify/music player widgets with album art
  • System stats widgets (RAM, storage, CPU)
Installation Steps
Step 1: Install KWGT

1. Open Google Play Store or GetApps.
2. Search for ""KWGT Kustom Widget Maker"" — install the free version.
3. For pre-made packs, also install ""KWGT Pro Key"" (one-time purchase unlocks all features).

Step 2: Add a KWGT Widget to Home Screen

1. Long-press an empty area of your home screen.
2. Tap Widgets.
3. Scroll to find KWGT — choose a size (2×2, 4×2, etc.).
4. Drag it to your home screen.

Step 3: Edit the Widget

1. Tap the newly placed widget → select ""Tap to Set"".
2. KWGT editor opens — browse Komponents (pre-built elements) or build from scratch.
3. Tap the element you want to edit, change colours, fonts, and formulas.
4. Tap the Save icon (floppy disk) when done.

HyperOS-Specific Tips
  • HyperOS 3 uses a 12-column grid — use 4×2 or 6×2 widgets for full-width looks.
  • Disable ""Lock home screen layout"" under home screen settings to move widgets freely.
  • Use the $wi(temp)$ formula for live weather temperature in KWGT.
  • Combine KWGT with Mi Themes for a fully cohesive aesthetic.
