How to Enable VoLTE and VoWi-Fi (Wi-Fi Calling) on Xiaomi Phones

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) enables HD-quality calls over your 4G network, while VoWi-Fi (Wi-Fi Calling) lets you make and receive calls via Wi-Fi when mobile signal is weak. Both are supported on most Xiaomi phones.

Check Carrier Support First

VoLTE and VoWi-Fi require both phone AND carrier support. Check with your carrier if these services are available on your plan.

How to Enable VoLTE on Xiaomi

Method 1: Settings
1. Go to Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → [Select SIM].
2. Toggle Enable VoLTE calls on.
3. The 4G/HD icon appears in your status bar during calls.

VoLTE option missing:

- Ensure Wi-Fi is on and stable (not captive portal / hotel Wi-Fi).
- Contact carrier to confirm Wi-Fi calling is activated on your account.
