How to Live Stream from Xiaomi Phone to YouTube and Twitch Simultaneously

Live streaming from your Xiaomi phone is increasingly popular for gaming, vlogging, events, and product launches. The combination of Xiaomi's camera quality and HyperOS tools makes for a compelling mobile streaming setup.

Requirements
  • Xiaomi phone with stable internet (5G or Wi-Fi recommended)
  • Streaming app: Streamlabs, OBS Mobile, or YouTube Studio
  • YouTube/Twitch account with streaming enabled
Method 1: Stream to YouTube via YouTube Studio App

1. Install YouTube Studio app.
2. Tap the camera icon → Go Live.
3. Set title, description, and privacy settings.
4. Tap Start Streaming — uses your phone's front or rear camera.

Note: YouTube requires channel verification and may require 1,000 subscribers for mobile streaming on some regions.
Method 2: Stream to Twitch via Streamlabs

1. Install Streamlabs from Play Store.
2. Log in with your Twitch account.
3. Customise your stream overlay, alerts, and camera.
4. Tap Go Live → streaming begins.

Streamlabs features for Xiaomi:
- Multiple camera switching (front/rear)
- Stream overlays and alerts
- Chat management panel
- Stream health monitor (bitrate, frame drop indicators)

Method 3: Multi-Stream to Both YouTube AND Twitch

Use Restream.io for simultaneous multi-platform streaming:
1. Create a Restream account (free tier: 2 platforms).
2. Get your Restream RTMP URL and stream key.
3. In Streamlabs: Settings → Stream → Custom RTMP → enter Restream details.
4. Your stream goes to both YouTube and Twitch at the same time.

Optimal Xiaomi Streaming Settings
Setting Recommended Value
Resolution 1080p
Bitrate 4,000–6,000 Kbps
Frame rate 30fps (or 60fps for gaming)
Camera Rear main for best quality
Network Wi-Fi preferred over 5G
Battery Keep charged — streaming drains battery fast
Using Xiaomi Camera in Streaming Apps
  • Xiaomi's Dual View mode (front + rear simultaneously) works in some streaming apps.
  • Use Game Turbo if streaming gameplay — it prioritises network bandwidth for streaming.
  • Reduce screen brightness during long streams to save battery.
Tip: Place your Xiaomi phone on a tripod using the Photography Kit Grip or any standard phone tripod mount for stable framing during live streams.
