How to Record Gameplay with Commentary on Xiaomi / Redmi Phone
Xiaomi's Game Turbo and built-in screen recorder make it easy to capture gameplay with internal audio and voice commentary.

The easiest method for gaming content:
1. Start a game — Game Turbo activates automatically (if enabled in Settings → Special features → Game Turbo).
2. Swipe from the right edge of the screen → Game Turbo sidebar appears.
3. Tap Screen record.
4. Select options:
- Internal audio — captures game sounds.
- Microphone — captures your commentary.
- Face cam — records front camera overlay (if supported).
5. Tap Start — a countdown begins.
Method 2 – HyperOS Screen Recorder (Settings Access)
- Pull down Quick Settings → hold the Screen record tile.
- In settings:
- Record audio: Device audio + Mic (for commentary).
- Video quality: 1080p / 60fps (recommended for gaming).
- Show touches: On (useful for tutorial content). - Tap Screen record to start.

Adding Commentary
- During recording: speak normally — HyperOS captures mic input simultaneously with game audio.
- Post-production: Use CapCut (free, pre-installed on many Xiaomi phones) to add commentary audio track, intro, subtitles, and music.
Where Recorded Videos Are Saved
- Gallery → Videos → Screen recordings
- Also accessible in Files → Internal storage → DCIM → Screen recordings
Pro Tips
- Enable Do Not Disturb before recording — notifications appear on screen and interrupt recording.
- Use Game Turbo's performance mode simultaneously to reduce lag during recording on mid-range processors.
- For streaming instead of recording: use Streamlabs or Twitch app — they integrate directly with Android screen capture.
