How to Share Files Between Xiaomi Phone and iPhone Using HyperOS 3 (AirDrop Method)

One of HyperOS 3's most talked-about features is cross-platform file sharing with Apple devices. Using the Xiaomi Interconnectivity app and Quick Share, you can now send photos, documents, and videos from your Xiaomi phone directly to an iPhone or Mac — and vice versa — without cables or cloud uploads.

Supported File Types

Photos, videos, PDFs, contacts, links, audio files, and documents. App files and system data are not transferable this way.

Troubleshooting
  • Device not appearing: Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, Bluetooth is on, and the Interconnectivity app is open on iPhone.
  • Transfer fails mid-way: Switch from separate Wi-Fi to using Xiaomi's hotspot — it is faster and more stable.
  • Not on HyperOS 3 yet?: Use the Mi Drop / Quick Share app as a workaround. It works over Wi-Fi Direct without needing HyperOS 3.
Pro Tip

The Xiaomi Interconnectivity app also lets you answer Xiaomi notifications from your iPhone and mirror your Xiaomi screen to a Mac — a full cross-ecosystem workflow for users who own both platforms.
