How to Transfer Music Playlists and Spotify Data to a New Xiaomi Phone

Switching to a new Xiaomi phone? Moving your music collection and playlists is easier than you think. The method depends on where your music lives — streaming apps, local files, or a mix of both.

Transferring Spotify Playlists

Spotify playlists are cloud-synced — no manual transfer needed:
1. Install Spotify on your new Xiaomi phone.
2. Log in with the same Spotify account.
3. All playlists, liked songs, podcasts, and albums appear automatically.

For offline downloads:
1. Downloads do NOT transfer (copyright protection).
2. Re-download your playlists by going to each playlist → toggle Download.

Transferring Local Music Files

If you have MP3s or FLAC files on your old phone:

Method 1: Xiaomi Quick Share (HyperOS)
1. On old phone: open Files → Music folder → select all music files.
2. Tap Share → Quick Share.
3. On new Xiaomi phone: accept the transfer.
4. Files arrive in the Downloads/Received folder — move to Music folder.
