How to Enable Always-On Display on Itel
Always-On Display (AOD) shows time, date, and notifications on the lock screen even when the phone is locked. On Itel phones that support it, AOD lives inside Settings > Display > Always-On Display. On models without the feature, a similar effect can be reached with the lock screen clock.
Steps
- Open Settings and tap Display.
- Scroll down and look for Always-On Display.
- Tap Always-On Display and turn the toggle on.
- Pick a clock style from the available options.
- Tap Show Notifications if you want notification icons to appear.
- Lock the phone and confirm the clock or info stays visible on the dark screen.
🤔Note:
AOD is usually limited to Itel models with OLED screens — older LCD models do not support the feature. If the toggle is missing, the hardware does not have AOD, and battery drain must be reduced through other Settings.
Quick Tips
- Pick a simple clock style — too many elements drain more power.
- Disable AOD automatically overnight by adding a schedule in the Display menu.
- Combine AOD with a black wallpaper to save the most battery.
- If your Itel uses LCD, set a long screen timeout as the closest alternative.
