How to Set Up an eSIM on Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO Phones

eSIM allows you to add a second number or international data plan without a physical SIM card.

Which Xiaomi Phones Support eSIM?

eSIM support varies by model and region. Confirmed eSIM-capable models (Global ROM):
- Xiaomi 12, 13, 14, 15 series (Pro / Ultra)
- Xiaomi 12T Pro, 13T Pro
- Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G (some regions)
- POCO X6 Pro (some regions)

Check: Settings → About Phone → SIM Status — if you see "eSIM" slot listed, it's supported.

Step-by-Step: Add an eSIM
  1. Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → Add eSIM.
  2. You'll see two options:
    - Scan QR code — provided by your carrier or eSIM provider.
    - Enter activation code manually — for text-based activation.
  3. Scan the QR code from your carrier's activation email or app.
  4. Follow on-screen steps to download and activate the eSIM profile.
  5. Choose whether this eSIM will be used for Calls, Data, or SMS.
Manage eSIM Profiles
  1. Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → [eSIM name].
  2. You can enable/disable individual eSIM profiles.
  3. Store multiple eSIM profiles (Xiaomi supports 5–10 stored profiles depending on model).
  4. Only one eSIM can be active at a time (alongside one physical SIM).
