  • For iPhone 6s and earlier models: Press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake (Top) buttons simultaneously for about 8 seconds. Release the Sleep/Wake button but continue holding the Home button for about 5 seconds until the screen goes black, indicating DFU mode.

3. Your iPhone's screen will remain black, indicating that it is in DFU mode. iTunes or Finder will detect the device and prompt you to restore it.

4. In iTunes or Finder, follow the on-screen prompts to restore your iPhone. This process will erase all data on the device, so ensure you have a backup if you wish to retain your data.
