How to Use Wireless PowerShare (Reverse Charging) on Samsung Galaxy
Samsung Wireless PowerShare turns your Galaxy phone into a wireless charger for other devices — great for charging Galaxy Buds or a friend's phone in a pinch.
How to Enable Wireless PowerShare
- Pull down the Quick Settings panel (swipe down from top right).
- Tap the Wireless PowerShare tile (battery share icon).
- Place the device you want to charge on the back of your Galaxy, centered near the Samsung logo area.
Works With:
- Samsung Galaxy Buds and Buds Pro
- Samsung Galaxy Watch
- Any Qi-compatible device (phones, earbuds)
- Qi2 devices
Tips for Best Results
- Your Galaxy must be above 30% battery — PowerShare automatically turns off below this threshold to protect your own battery.
- The device being charged must be Qi-compatible.
- Remove your Galaxy's case for better wireless transmission.
- Face both phones away from each other (back-to-back) for optimal alignment.
PowerShare Speed
Wireless PowerShare operates at ~4.5W — it's slow but works well for topping up Galaxy Buds (small battery) or keeping a secondary device alive in emergencies.
Automatic Shutoff
PowerShare automatically turns off if:
- Your phone drops below 30% battery
- The charging device is fully charged
- No device is detected for 2 minutes
