How to Use Smart Switch to Back Up Samsung Galaxy to PC [2026]

What You Need
- PC or Mac
- USB-C cable
- Samsung Smart Switch software (free download from samsung.com)
Step-by-Step Backup
- Download and install Smart Switch from samsung.com/smartswitch.
- Open Smart Switch on your computer.
- Connect your Galaxy to the computer via USB-C cable.
- On your phone: approve the USB connection and select File Transfer (MTP).
- In Smart Switch: click the Back Up button.
- Select data to back up (default: all data recommended).
- Click OK to start — backup takes 5–30 minutes.
