Manual: How to Reset Voicemail Password on iPhone AT & T or Verizon
If you are an iPhone user, you will want to get all the possible privileges from your phone. You can set your voicemail to your brand new iPhone. It will allow you to change the greeting from the regular one, and people can leave messages for you when you are not available. Apple's visual voicemail configuration is so easy on the iPhone. There are a few methods to reset voicemail password from your iPhone. When your service provider allows you to visual voicemail, you can change the password directly from your iPhone by yourself. You can follow below steps to change the password and set a new one which is memorable.
Step 1. Go to Setting. Scroll to Phone and tap on it. Now tap on Change Voicemail Password.
Step 2. Enter the existing voicemail password and tap Done. (You need to follow below instructions for a forgotten password. It needs to contact with the service provider.)
Step 3. Enter a new password and tap on Done. Re-enter the new password and again tap on Done.
For AT & T iPhone you can change or reset your voicemail password through the following ways.
a) Dial 611 and choose the voicemail service, follow the prompts to reset your voicemail password. It may require the information about your account. This method will help you by sending a free message containing a temporary password for your voicemail. Now you can change the password as you wish by yourself (as shown above).Or tap the question mark (?) on the password box >Tap the AT & T call button for service that comes > Then follow the menu prompt to reset the password for voicemail.
b) You can also reset the voicemail from AT & T online account: Go to Reset Voicemail Password page on my AT & T online page. Your phone number will display and you can only reset your voicemail for this number only. Then Click to the Submit button to get a temporary password to reset your voicemail password.
c) You can reset your voicemail password from the app for iPhone. You need to download free myAT&T app from the apple store and follow the steps described as below:
Step 1. Open the app to make changes the voicemail password. Then tap on Reset Voicemail Password option.
Step 2. You will be got a suggestion page. Tap on the Reset button to perform the reset for your voicemail password.
Step 3.Now you can also change the password manually from your phone by yourself to a memorable password. This app lets you data usage tracking and bill pay for your iPhone.
a) You can dial 611 and choosing the voicemail menu, and you need to follow the described prompt to reset your password. It will send you a message with a temporary password, and you can follow the later instruction of AT & T iPhone.
b) Again, like the AT & T iPhone, you can get the My Verizon Mobile app to perform the reset from your Verizon iPhone. There is the Reset Voicemail Password option and Reset button to have a new password when you will forget your voicemail password.
c) You can also access to your account from the Verizon website. You need to follow the following instructions to get your Verizon iphone voicemail password reset:
Step 1. Visit the My Verizon section of Verizon website from here
Step 2. Under My Device section you can get Reset Voice Mail Password.

1.Did you change your sim card or reset your phone recently?
Whenever you reset your iPhone or insert sim card with different phone number in your device. Your voice mail stops working, and you may also see small red color icon on front screen.
In-such case, you will have to follow the normal voice mail activation process to activate the service. Make sure that your monthly plan or pay as you go plan offers voice mail service.
2. Check call forwarding settings
If your voice mail is not working, the most important step that you need to take is to check the call forwarding activation status.
Click on settings, then phone settings, and then check the call forwarding status. The call forwarding feature should be turned on, and the screen should also show the voice mail box number for your cellular network.
If you find that call forwarding is off, simply switch that on, and enter your mobile network's voice mail number in the column that says "forward to".
To be on safer side, call your cellular network and inform them about the same.
3. Check if notifications are active
If you realize that you are in good network coverage area, and call forwarding is set as well, but you are still not able to receiving voice mail notifications, you should make sure that you have enabled basic voice mail alerts.
Check in sounds settings and make sure that voice mail notification alert is on.
4.Make sure that your iPhone has installed all the latest updates
Along with Apple, even your cell phone service provider keeps on sending updated settings for your phone. Whenever you receive carrier settings updates, make sure that you install them immediately. So, if your iPhone's voice mail is not working in-spite of right settings, you should make sure that the phone has installed carrier updates and is working on latest version of iOS.

If nothing works, just call your carrier's technical support team for assistance.
